For the twentieth year, members of the Amissville Ruritan Gub will sponsor their Fourth of July pitcooked beef barbecue this Saturday. The event will take place on the Amissville Fire Department grounds on Route 22 just west of Amissville from 3 to 9 p.m.

The succulent beef is cooked over night in a deep pit covered with a layer of large gravel on which the fire is built. The meat is wrapped in foil and burlap and cooked in the coals. Served with the beef will be vegetables, bread, drink and salad.

Dinners will be S6 for adults and S3.50 for children.
