Homemakers To Meet The Washington Extension Homemaker Club’s regular meeting will be on Thursday, June 24, at 1 p.m. For directions to meeting place or other information call the bpstess, Lillian Crews, at 987-8328 or the Extension Office at 675-3619. This meeting will be a Quilting Bee so bring a thimble and come prepared to quilt or to learn how. At the May meeting the homemakers were introduced to fabric painting under the direction of Midge Finnerty. Prospective members and visitors are always welcome at the club meetings. Regular meetings are the last Thursday of each month at 1 p.m.

Mt, Lebanon Bible School Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church will hold its Vacation Bible School on Monday through Friday, June 21-25, 9 a.m. to noon at the church on Route 522 in Scrabble. Bible study, crafts and music will be presented to all age groups from nursery through teehaged youth. All young people from the community are welcome. To register, call Betty Sims at 987-8973.

Bawkey Reunion The families of the late William C. and Fannie E. Cobb Bawkey will have their annual reunion Sunday, June 27, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rappahannock Recreation Center near Washington. Friends and relatives are urged to attend and bring a picnic lunch.

Joint Meeting Set The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will hold a special joint meeting with the county’s Water and Sewer Authority on Monday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the courthouse. Scheduled for discussion is progress on the Sperryville sewer system and the request for the supervisors to guarantee “front money" for design work on the system.

First Baptist Conference The First Baptist Church conference will be held on Wednesday. June 23. at 7:30 p.m. at the church. All members are urged to attend.
