Fund Drive

Extended

The Rappahannock County unit of the American Cancer Society will continue its annual fund drive into July.

Volunteers have been going door-to-door since Crusade month arrived in April but donations have been slow, leaving the total collected short of Rappahannock’s $3,000 “fair share” goal.

Local residents are urged to give generously, keeping in mind that dollars donated to the Crusade fund drive are returned several times over through services to cancer patients and educational and cancer detection programs held here in Rappahannock. Those who haven’t been contacted personally may send a check to the Cancer Society in care of unit president Helen Snead in Washington, Virginia.
