In addition to the dance, RAAC will have several stands in town at which Chinese brocade items and tapestries, dolls, cloisonne pendants and hard-carved wild animals and jewelry from Africa will be sold.
A special stand will feature hand-made items from Pakistan—rosewood furniture made by a company in the Khyber Pass which has provided furniture for the British Army for 100 years; a selection of Cashmere coats, jackets, caftans and shawls; onyx, marble and camelskin lamps; bowls, vases and other accessories. General Eric Hall, former chief of staff of the Pakistani Air Force, will handle this exhibit with assistance from his wife Marjorie and daughter Jill. A percentage of the sales from all items offered at booths sponsored by RAAC will go to that organization.
A town crier and a troupe of clowns will add color and gaiety to the July ^th celebration. The town crier will call out various events on the program as they occur while the clowns float through the crowds, putting on mini-shows on the street corners and sidewalks.
