VMI AWARD WINNER — Virginia Military Institute graduating first classman William C. Nichols, of Flint Hill, is congratulated by Gen. Sam S. Walker. VMI superintendent, at the presentation of the General Dynamics Award recognizing Nichols for excellence among members of his class in the Navy RDTC program at the Institute. Presentation of the award was made during commencement weekend ceremonies. Nichols is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Nichols of Flint Hill.
