The wedding of Wanda Lee Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Lee Campbell of Washington, to Gary Lynn Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Jenkins, Jr., also of Washington took place at 2 o’clock on May 29, 1982, at Reynolds Baptist Church in Sperryville.
The Rev. Ronald Wiley performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Dennis Wingfield, pianist, played a variety of traditional wedding music.
Given in marrige by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white chantilly lace with fitted bodice and a round open neckline outlined with pearls. Lace sleeves edged in pearls and sequins accented the full skirt with lace and ruffle tiers that ended in a chapel train. Her flowers were a silk cascade of white roses and stephanotis.
Linda Beyrodt of Maryland was matron of honor and Suzanne Bailey of Manassas was maid of honor. They wore floor length gowns of apricot with sheered v-shaped yokes trimmed in lace. They carried a bouquet of silk apricot roses and yellow daisies.
Bridesmaids were Nancy Jenkins of Washington, sister of the groom, Tammy Atkins of Sperryville, Melissa Cameron of Chester Gap and Debbie Hardbower of Culpeper. They wore gowns of yellow and carried bouquets of yellow and white daisies with baby’s breath.
