Along comes a happening that renews our faith in humanity.
This is a simple story of our beagle sisters, Dinah and Georgia Girl. Not interesting to others but to us who raised and trained them as hunters, they meant a lot. They gave us season after season of pleasure in outdoor companionship. They were loyal, untiring hunters, always striving to please.
While hunting in Rappahannock County last November 20th, both disappeared on a chase. Then our long search began. Daily we searched and hoped. On the fifth day, Georgia Girl was found by Mr. Sutphin. We were so encouraged over his call and happy to have one home again yet our daily search continued until the winter weather stopped us. We couldn't get one lead on Dinah.
We told ourselves that she was with someone who appreciated her gentle, kind ways and was being well fed with good treatment. This we thought for six months.
