borne young children walk with their feet crossing towards the inside of their walk This can be from a number of different causes The most common cause is an actual delay in the growth of the bones of the leg As the lower leg bone (tibia) grows, it also has some twisting motion If this twisting motion is not synchronized well with the lower part of the leg. the foot can turn inwards Most pediatricians will be right when they say that it will usually correct itself However, what happens is that the child either has a correction of the twisting motion, or he can flatten out his arch (which leads to numerous problems in later life) and appear to have the teet functioning in a straight fashion It is important to protect the foot from doing this They are the only pair we have
