Messiah Sing-In Planned
A Messiah Sing-In will be presented on Sunday. November 28. at 7:30 p.m. at Market Street Methodist Church in Winchester.
Dr. James Laster. Director of Choral Ensembles at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, will conduct the concert. Community members are invited to come to this event, bring a copy of Handel's Messiah la limited number of copies will be available at the door I. take a place w ith the other sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses, and have an enjoyable evening singing Messiah. Those who would like just to listen are invited to come and sit in the balconies of the church.
The Christmas portion and selections from the other two sections of the oratorio will be sung. Shenandoah Conservatory students and graduates will be soloists for the performance. A small chamber orchestra w ill prov ide accompaniment.
