The official in Fauquier who administers Rappahannock’s building inspection program has stipulated that a ramp for wheelchairs must be provided, adding an unexpected $4,500 to $5,000, the architect said. He noted that State Department of Corrections representatives say the ramp isn’t necessary since cell doors aren't wide enough to allow a wheelchair through.
"So we’re paying for access tor handicapped visitors,” Spencer pointed out.
