Christmas Pageantry
Ceremonies attending the lighting of the county Christmas tree in front of the courthouse will start at . p.m., Wednesday evening. December 22. hveryone is invited to a program at the Gay Street Theater following the tree lighting. After the program at the theater, refreshments w ill be served in the Historical Society building.
Organizations participating in the Christmas program include the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, the Shape-Note Singers, the Last Minute Wood Company, the Macedonia Gospel Choir, the Rappahannock Players,a recorder quartet and a quartet to lead the carol singing which will end the program.
After refreshments, those with the holiday spirit are invited to join the caroling around the town. W ashington residents who would like to have the singers stop at their homes should call 675-3283 or 675-3349.
