Joseph Franklin Wines, 69, of Front Royal, died Sunday, December 5, 1982, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Truman Trumble. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery. He was born November 21, 1913, in Amissville, a son of the late Wade H. and Dora Riley Wines. He was retired from Central Telephone Company. Surviving with his wife, Virginia Dodson Wines, are two sons, Daniel L. Wines of Mechanicsville and Wayne H. Wines Sr. of Front Royal; four daughters, June W. Heflin of Richmond, Joyce W. Loy of Stephens City, Dora C. Heflin and Wanda W. Darr, both of Front Royal; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Etta Mauck, Hazel Miller, Kathleen Alexander and Ruth Grove, all of Front Royal and Thelma Sealock of Chester Gap.

Frank R. Timbers of Washington, D. C.. formerly of Washington, Virginia, died on Sunday, December 5, 1982, in Washington Hospital Center in D. C.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at St.. John United Baptist Church in Washington, D. C. by the Rev. John M. Alexander.
Mr. Timbers was a retired councilor from the Department of Corrections of Washington, D. C.; a World War 11 veteran; and a member of various organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Dennis Timbers of Washington, D. C.; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Timbers of Washington and two godchildren, Andrea Taylor Gark of Norfolk and Craig Green of Culpeper.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Collins of Ardmore, Pa., Louise Nelson of Doylestown, Pa. and Ethel Bailey of Washington and one brother, John Timbers of Ardmore, Pa.
