Paul Frank Brown, 75, of Sperryville died on Saturday, December 4, 1982, at his residence. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at Sperryville Cemetery by the Rev. James Mastin. A native of Sperryville, he was the son of the late Paul Warner and Eulelia James Brown. He was a retired farmer and merchant. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie Schwartz Brown; a son, Richard Allen (Buddy) Brown of Sperryville and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hugh Woodward, Robert Pullen, Lester Deal, Roger Rutherford, F. D. Coffey Jr., Tony Deal, Curtis Crawford and Opie Crawford.

Funeral services for Charles Weldon Rider Sr., 59, of Culpeper were held on Friday at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Rider died Tuesday. November 23, 1982, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Rider. Mr. Rider was employed by the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation in the maintenance department. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wile, Mrs. Elizabeth Leake Rider of Culpeper; one daughter. Mrs. Janet Bennett of Culpeper; a son. Charles W. Rider Jr., also of Culpeper; two sisters. Mrs. Irish Haynes of Etlan and Miss Mary Jane Rider of Madison and two brothers, Elton Rider of Baltimore. Md. and Walter Rider of Etlan.
