Homemade gifts have a kind of special appeal recognized by everyone. As spare time becomes harder and harder to find, presents that take time to make are more precious by far than those that take only money to buy.
Often good cooks plan edible Christmas gifts as an economy measure. In these days of high grocery costs, economy does not always result. But the thought and care that go into homemade gifts make them worth much, much more than the cost of their ingredients.
