The board filled two vacancies on local government-related bodies, appointing Sandra Brown to the Rappahannock Recreation Authority and former supervisor chairman E. P. Luke as the county's representative on the R appahannock - Rapidan Planning District Commission. Supervisor Hubert Gilkey requested postponement of the appointment of an emergency services coordinator until next month in order to give the Fire and Rescue Association time to make a recommendation. Naming of a replacement for Louis Moore on the Agricultural and Forestal District Advisory Committee was also tabled until January.
