James O. Nicholson
School Custodian
James Otis Nicholson, 53, of Washington, Va., died Monday, Nov. 22, at Fauquier Hospital. A native of Rappahannock County, he was born August 7, 1929, in Nicholson Hollow.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly, of Washington; three sons, James A. Nicholson, Ft. Hood, Texas, Ronald A. Nicholson, San Diego, California, and Bobby Smoot Nicholson, Washington, Va. Also surviving are four daughters, Dollv A. Harper and Doris J. Thomas. Sperryville; Christine P. Keys, Washington. Va., and Bonnie J. Keys, Culpeper.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tammy, Johnny, Lori, Michael, Sherri, Tara, Dawn, Tracy. Tiffany, Early, and Mathew. Surviving sons-in-law are Richard D. Harper, Charles E. Thomas, James W. Keys, and Early R. Keys. A daughter-in-law, Patricia Nicholson, also survives. Mr. Nicholson was employed by the Arlington County School Board for more than 20 years. Services were held at Turner-Robertshaw in Front Royal on Friday, November 27. He was laid to rest at Washington Masonic Cemetery, Washington, Va., by the Rev. Ray Campbell. Pallbearers were Clarence Baldwin, Junior Ralls, David Athler, W. A. Michael, Tom Duke, C. T. Weber, Leroy Murphy, and Larry Lindburg. He is loved and missed by many. To be with our Lord is never to be alone.
