The Wildcats were still pumped up when they came back out on the court from the locker room and quickly pulled to a 31-43 lead. The going got rougher for RCHS when Leake and Myers were each tagged with their fourth fouls. A hush settled over the gym as Panther fans watched the lead oveir the home team stretched from 39-49 at the third quarter to 53-75 at the final buzzer.
Warren County had three players in double Figures. The only Panther in that range was Mike Leake who was credited with a game high 18 points. The team total on rebounds was an impressive 41 but 23 turn-overs, 30 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent shooting from the charity, stripe explained the loss. The Wildcats made it a clean sweep with a 46-34 win over a much shorter Rappahannock junior varsity. The Junior Panthers lead only once in the game after a shot by Deryk Moore put them on top, 7-6. The rest of the contest was spent trailing a well-disciplined Warren contingent.
Tommy Jenkins and Thomas Rector lead the J.V. squad with 10 and 9 points respectively.
