Harry Catlett Stephenson, 81, of Lynchburg, formerly of Woodville, died on Sunday, January 16, 1983, in Lynchburg. '*''\Born in Woodville on April 24, 1901, he was the son of the. late William and Cornelia Cabell Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was retired from the State Highway Department. He attended the Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Cabell Stephenson of Woodville and Gertrude S. Browning of Culpeper.
Survivors include a niece, Anne Browning Ripley of Cape Cod, Mass.; two nephews, Charles William Browning of Culpeper and Preston M. Browning Jr. of Lottesville.
PVineral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington by the Rev. Jennings Hobson. Burial was in the Woodville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: Eye Care, Inc., 523 8th “St., S. E., Washington, D. C. 20003, or The World Hunger Education Service. The Moody Funeral Service in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
