and given a test for basic skills including basic math, and be required to have an interview with members of the nursing staff. A dental examination report must also be filed with the school. All of these steps must be completed by February 28. No applications will be accepted after that date.

There is no tuition charge to residents of Orange, Madison, Culpeper, or Rappahannock Counties. However, the cost for books, uniforms, and other expenses is approximately $900.00$1,000.00 for the 18 months. Only 24 applicants can be accepted so it is very important to apply early.

A total of 180 candidates have graduated from the program since it was begun in 1968. In the last six years, 98 percent of the graduates have passed the State Board of Nursing Exam and have been licensed to practice the art of nursing.

Course

SPECTRA School of Design in Flint Hill is offering a two-weekend course for adults on January 21-23 and 28-30. The purpose of the course is for participants to experience creative building. Enrollment is open to adults interested in the field of architecture and building. The course begins at 5 p.m. on Friday each weekend and lasts until 3 p.m. Sunday. Enrollment is limited and interested persons are encouraged to sign up immediately by calling the SPECTRA office in Flint Hill (703-675-3288) or in McLean (703) 356-1991; evenings 759-2000).
