ny jul i»lcl_UL,LOUGH Rappahannock Nr»« Sports Writer Varsity Panthers staged a fourth quarter scoring blitz that buried the manassas Park Cougars, 81-57, in an away contest last Friday. The win improved Rappahannock’s over-all record to 9-3 and upped the district mark to 5-1, tops in Bull Run. The Panthers came out onto the court with an emotional edge and jumped to an early 8-2 lead. But then something drained their energy. Standing around of offense, they turned the ball over six times and managed only one more bucket before , the first period ended with RCHS ahead, 10-6.
Boring basketball was the name of the game in the second quarter and by the half-time buzzer, the Cougars had tied it up at 25 all.
