Clarence Jenkins, 87, of Winchester, died Sunday, January 16, 1983, in the Shawnee Springs Nursing Home, Winchester.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Jones Funeral Home, Winchester by the Rev. Ken Smith. Burial was in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Mr. Jenkins was born April 10, 1895, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Alfred and Ida Jenkins. He was a plumber for Perry Engineering Company in Winchester prior to retirement and was a member of the Refuge United Methodist Church. He served in the U. S. Army during World War L
Surviving are his wife, Veda Williams Jenkins; two sons, Douglas Jenkins of Lakeland, Fla. and Qarence Jenkins Jr. of Winchester; a daughter, Pauline Kelchner of Martinsburg, W. Va.; one brother, Henry Jenkins of Flint Hill; eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
