An F.T. Valley man was given a sixty-day sentence, suspended for 240 hours of community service, in General District Court Tuesday for selling liquor without a license.
Usters Benton, Dodson, 67, in his fourth appearance before the court for the same offense, was charged on January 21 when State Police Inspector Schultze found him selling liquor without the proper Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license.
A related charge of possessing firearms while selling illegal alcohol was dropped when the firearms in question were found to be part of Dodson’s gun collection.
