The boad voted unanimously to accept the next lowest bid, that of Lantz Construction Company at $133,235.
They next addressed themselves to possible changes to the original plans. The architect had asked Lantz to propose deductions for specific changes and deletions.
The Board voted to:
Omit the soil treatment for termites for a savings of $232;
Delete the prime and double seal for the parking ' lot, substituting compacted gravel at a savings of $4635;
Make changes in the lighting, delete a water filter for the well and make several other small changes for a total savings in the original price of $9,032.
Chairman Beverly Massie said that, with the reductions, the total Lantz bid would come to $123,933.
