Who Will Pay
“This is a lengthy ordinance with a long requirement for publication,” Miller said. “Who will pay for the advertisement?”
“We will,” said Poffenberger. “Providing that the ordinance passes.” The men agreed to return in April, giving the council time to have an attorney review the document.
In later discussion, Miller told the council that it was in the best interests of the town to require specific language in the ordinance, expecially in light of the suit involving Potomac Edison in Sperryville, where the utility has updated lines through private property, increasing voltage by 500% and erecting poles well above the tree line.
