While agreeing that Fincham’s six month jail term was “justifiable,” Rev. Crane maintained that a second incarceration would not serve society. “Some kind of (community service) program would certainly be in keeping.”
“He loves his family and they love him. It’s important that they be together,” said Robert Settle of his son-inlaw\ “I don’t think he was ever bad. He just didn’t realize the serious crime he was getting into. I think he learned his lesson well.” Settle maintained that Fincham would have more respect for the law if he was shown “love and compassion” and put into a community service program rather than jail.
