Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gentry accompanied Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Dodson and Miss Sharon Dodson of Staunton to Manassas on Saturday where they attended the wedding of the Gentrys’ grandson Ronald Lee Gentry to Mary Geris at the Catholic Church. Ronald is the son of Wiley Allen Gentry, formerly of Flint Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Parson of Orlando, Fla., spent a few days with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Nellie Pritchett. The Parsons were en route to New York.
Misses Elsie and Margaret Dodson and Mrs. Barbara Gentry attended the Retired Teachers meeting in Berryville on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crane of Lanham, Md., spent Sunday with Mrs. Crane’s mother, Mrs. Moffett Brady. Additional visitors were Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady and Mrs. Mary Atkins of Amissville.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Wade Pullen and Miss Phyllis Vemer attended the Community Concert in Culpeper on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster and Chris and Mrs. Ertha Corbin gave a birthday supper at their home on Saturday evening. Those celebrating birthdays in April were Mrs. Sandra Hawkins of Front Royal, Miss Angela Facchina of Amissville, Buddy Tummeyer and Barry Turnmeyer. They received many nice gifts. Others present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster, Mrs. Buddy Turnmeyer and Scotty, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster and Donnie Hawkins.
