time for the chances of Speij^ ryville’s long-delayed sewer* finally becoming a reality.
At Monday’s meeting of the Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority, chairman Carson Johnson passed out copies of a letter from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) confirming the award of a $77,250 supplemental grant for additional design work on the sewer system. The letter noted that the supplemental award brings the federal share of the project to $120,350. Of that amount, ; $34,200 was previously paid • to the Authority.
Greene A. Jones, director of EPA’s water management division, announced in the April 12 letter that the Water and Sewer Authority “may submit requests for payment for allowable costs incurred in accordance with the following revised schedule: 4/83 $18,600; 6/83 $18,500; 8/83 $18,500; 10/83 $18,500; 12/83 $12,050.”
