And, with a $70,000 or $80,000 “gestures cut” in the bottom line of the school budge to impress the public wit! their stalwart conservatism, the supervisors have then rubber stamped the whole thing as presented to them. Never mind that, in the process, the school'children have been robbed year after year, both of an education and needed facilities (newer and safer buses, for example) in order to shift funds from them to our public employees. School children dc not squawk; public employees of school systems do— continually and loudly.
But county taxpayers can squawk too and I believe that they are going to wake up from their deep sleep this year and squawk from Nethers to Chester Gap.
