Dividend
The Board of Directors of F & M National Corporation voted to declare a 17 cent per share cash dividend for the third quarter at the board meeting August 3.
The dividend is payable September 30 to shareholders of record August 26.
The directors also voted to declare a five percent stock dividend in lieu of cash for the fourth quarter of this year. This dividend will be payable December 28 to shareholders of record November 25.
F & M National Corporation is the parent company of Farmers and Merchants National Bank and maintains branch banking offices in Flint Hill.
