Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne accompanied by their granddaughters, Heather and Peachy Moncure Lyne of Warrenton were houseguests for several days of Mrs. C. R. Powell in Kilmarnock and attended the wedding on Saturday of Mrs. Lyne’s niece, Nora Gole to Richard Abbott in Toano.

Members of the Sunday School of Sperryville, Willis Chapel and Flint Hill United Methodist Churches held their annual picnic Sunday at the 4-H Center at Harmony Hollow near Front Royal.

Mrs. Amy L. Gore of Fairfax was a weekend guest of Mrs. Frances Thornton.

Mrs. Brown Miller attended the Heizer reunion near Woodstock Saturday. There were approximately 75 members present. Sunday, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. B. M. Varner visited Mrs. James F. Smith and had luncheon at the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper and heard the Sea Walkers quartet from F redericksburg. They also visited Mr. Miller at the Country Side Rest Home at Pratts.

Mrs. Virginia Lewis returned home this week after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fielding Lewis in Front Royal.

Mrs. Ken Yoder of Lancaster, Pa. arrived Sunday
