Money was a frequent matter for discussion at this week’s Rappahannock School Board meeting.
It was somewhat of a shock for some school board members and audience members alike to hear a price-tag of $130,000 for a new roof at the elementary school. In his presentation, school superintendant Robert Estabrook said that the roof is definitely in need of major work. A local firm which did repairs a year ago has voluntarily returned gratis six times since to stop leaks. Estabrook met with a Richmond roofing firm recommended by the architect working on the bus shop
