Miriam Kvarnes

Psychiatry School Registrar

Mrs. Miriam Young Kvarnes, 58, died Monday, August 8, 1983, at her residence in Chevy Chase, Md.

Mrs. Kvarnes was registrar of the Washington School of Psychiatry from 1950 to 1952. She was a native of Greensboro, N.C., a member of St. John’s Episcopal .Church in Bethesda and the Welcome to Washington Club. Her hobbies included ballet. Mrs. Kvarnes and family were weekend and summer resi' dents of Gid Brown Hollow, Washington since 1961.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Robert G. Kvarnes of Chevy Chase; two sons, Eric and Jensen, both of Washington; her father, E.H. Young of Greensboro; her mother, Frances Bagby of Baltimore and a half sister, Alice Young of Greensboro.

Services at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bethesda, Md. on Saturday, August 13 at 2 p.m.
