Area artists and craftsmen are invited to show their handiwork and demonstrate their skills at James Madison University’s fourth annual Valley Day program on September 24.
Valley Day is held in conjunction with a JMU home football game each fall and focuses on life in the Shenandoah Valley. The program will also include bluegrass music, folk dance demonstrations and other activities.
In addition to exhibitors of crafts, JMU is seeking persons who can demonstrate Valley skills — such as working with old tools, apple butter making, weaving and blacksmithing. Persons wishing to have an exhibit should contact Mike Way at (703) 433-6329. There is no fee for exhibitors.
