John B. Browning of Charlottesville spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. John S. Browning. They spent Christmas Day with Dr. and Mrs. Edgar K. Browning at Charlottesville. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Brooks of Mechanicsville, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kay and Mrs. Guy Palmore of Richmond.
Miss Crystal Vest, Pvt. Mark Werner and Mrs. Grady Vest visited Mr. and Mrs. James Nicholson at Woodstock and Mrs. Florence Butler at Maurytown on Monday.
Mrs. Jack Hamilton and Mrs. Pam Garner and Laura of High Point, North Carolina arrived on Monday to spend a few days with Mrs. Hamilton’s mother, Mrs. Moffett Brady. Also visiting during Christmas were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCulloch of Fairfax, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crane of Lanham, Md., Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Cieslak of Kansas.

Dowdy is a senior majoring in interpreting. She’s the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Leighty.
Maryville is a private Presbyterian four-year liberal arts college.
