Two suspects in an October 1 break-in at the former Rappahannock Ski Lodge appeared in General District Court on December 6 for sentencing. James Patrick Berry and John Joseph Schroeder, both of Culpeper, were each assigned to serve 30 hours of community service after Judge John Alexander reduced charges against them from breaking and entering to trespassing. Each received a 12 month suspended sentence and was ordered to pay court costs. They were represented by court appointed attorneys David Konick and Lee Albrecht.
