Clifton Edward Welch, Sr., (55, of Front Royal,died on Saturday, December 24, 1982, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
His funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Captain Jeffrey Kent and the Rev. Alice Campbell. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.
Mr. Welch was born in Rappahannock County, June 14, 1918, son of the late Clifton A. and Ella Riley Welch.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Sue Welch: seven sons, Rufus E. Welch of Catlett, Warren Welch of Manassas, John Welch of Manassas Park, William T. Welch of Alexandria, Clifton E. Welch II and Ricky E. Ross, both of Front Royal, and Melvin W. Welch of Havre de Grace, Md.; three daughters, Hilda Brown of Fredericksburg, Tenna Marie Redmon and Shirley Marie Welch, both of Front Royal, and 1G grandchildren.
