“They’ve been very special to us,” said Mrs. Paul Mishler, pastor’s wife at the Big Spring Mennonite Church in Luray where the Bombergers belong.
They are activists in their church. Judy directs the congregation in musical dramas while Don oversees the choreography. “We took one of the plays to Pennsylvania for the weekend and gave three performances there,” noted Rev. Mishler.
Both teach Sunday School. Don serves as treasurer for the church and Judy as congregational song leader. Together, they often plan services and lead the congregation in worship, Rev. Mishler said.
“They’re gifted and very willing to share their talents. They’re unusual in their dedication to whatever they undertake,” their minister continued. “If I would ask the congregation to give one word to describe them, that word would be ‘gifted,’
