Mr. and Mrs. Page Moffett, Billy and Sally Page are house guests this week of Lieutenant Commander and Mrs. D. C. Welling and family and Mrs. Jean B. Moffett in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. Mrs. Moffett is remaining for an extended visit with her son-inlaw and daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. George Raymond Jenkins and son, William Alfred and daughter, Mrs. Debra K. Johnson and Lewis Johnson, all of Suffolk were Saturday guests of Mrs. Mary V. Updike and Miss Phyllis Vemer. In the afternoon they attended the Golden Wedding anniversary and reception for Mr. Jenkins’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Williams Jenkins at the Sperryville fire hall.
Mrs. Charles C. Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Burke of Front Royal spent from Friday until Saturday visiting Mrs. Arthur Vaughan in Fredericksburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke and Mrs. Janie Burke of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Burke, Jennifer and Mary Lynn of Alexandria were visitors of Mrs. Charles C. Burke on Sunday.
Tammy Huff was honored with a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon by Mrs. Dorothy Ralls and Mrs. Linda Clark. In addition to Mrs. Ralls and Steve and Mrs. Clark and children others present included Donna Flinchum and mother from Boston, Mrs. Peggy Tharp of Castleton, Mrs. Ike L. Ralls, Melinda and Candy of Linden, Mrs. Alice Beahm, Mrs. Joan Baldwin, Brenda Pullen, Pam Pullen, Ellen Pullen and Mrs. Peggy Huff and Tony. The shower was held at the Ralls residence.
