Besides taking classes, Miss Roemer participated in a Talent Show and she was active on field day, where her team. Purple Power, won the Sportsmanship Award. Miss Roemer also saw a play “Born Yesterday” and two movies, ‘T'op Secret” and “Mr. Smith goes to Washington.”
Miss Roemer, who said she wasn’t really enthusiastic about spending two weeks at UVA, was surprised when she arrived on campus. “I didn’t really want to go, but when I got there it was great. I met a lot of people and made lots of friends.”
Miss Roemer is the daughter of Ms. Arlene Roemer. She has two sisters, Claire and Maria.
