dude 24 members of the Air Force, 19 from the Navy, five from the Army, four from the Marine Corps and two from the State Department, hailing from 26 towns and cities throughout the Commonwealth.
Members of the Virginia Congressional Delegation will present the awards. Other partidpants in the ceremony will include representatives of the armed services, Virginia National Guard, veterans’ organizations, and state and local officials.
The medals were authorized in the Fiscal Year 1984 Department of Defense Authorization Act. A total of 2,48$, medals will be presented nationwide.
