“We do repair, washing, cleaning up, lights, stuff like that—anything (buses) need” says Huff, “but not every time we run (them).”
The shop also has to repair buses damaged by riders who sometimes rip out foam seat cushioning. Litter can be a problem, too, Huff adds.
He Bays bus riders this coming school year could make his job easier if they “take care of (the buses) better, if they don’t tear them up so hard. "That would help everybody—especially the taxpayers.”
