Now Harris teaches full-time at Wakefield, where he directs the athletic program as well as teaching history, and counseling.
“Teaching is just a way of sharing a skill,” he said. “It’s important, especially when teaching a sport, to be relaxed and not forced. I’ve found that I really enjoy teaching and I’m able to have respect for whatever my students have to offer. It’s also important to be able to know exactly what you’re communicating. Many people don’t, and they make confusing teachers.”
