The Bluemont Concert Series will present John Jackson in concert this Saturday, August 18. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the old Warren Green Hotel in downtown Warrenton, Virginia. Plan to bring your family and a blanket or lawn chairs to hear one of America’s greatest rural blues guitarists and singers. Folding chairs will be available for senior citizens; requested admission is $1.00 per person.
Jackson was born and raised in Rappahannock County, where he began playing the guitar as Soon as he was big enough to hold one. Mr. Jackson is an incredibly versatile musician; he was “discovered” in the early 1960’s and his musical career has grown steadily since.
