Mrs. Mittie Catherine Frye, 85, of Luray, died Friday, August 10 at her residence.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. Kirby Shank. Graveside services were at the Sperryville Cemetery.
Mrs. Frye was born June 4, 1899, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late W. J. Jube and Ella Rutherford. She was married to the late Samuel Jackson Frye.
Surviving are three daughters, Della Atkins of Luray, Anna Dodson of Front Royal and Sadie Frazier of Broadway; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Additional survivors include four brothers, Charlie Rutherford of Sperryville, Harry Rutherford and Hayward Rutherford, both of Castleton and Archie Rutherford of Wairenton and two sisters, Susie Frye and Ella Mae Atkins, both of Front Royal.
