American plane departed. Lucky and Richard were so excited to go, that they boarded before their party had a chance for the smooches and hugs. Darn!
The Olympic games are over with a spectacular closing ceremony that has left us with a warm patriotic feeling. The U.S.A. won so many gold medals and we, Virginians are proud to have one of our countrymen win the gold for the Equestrian event. But remember what George Santayana once said, “A man’s feet must be planted in his country, but his eyes should survey the world”. Au revoir.
