Mrs. Roberta Irene Baker, 72, of Fauquier County, died Friday, August 10 in Page Memorial Hospital at Luray.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Hoover Heflin. Burial was in Warrenton Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was bom September 17, 1911, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Ernest and Matt Nune Atkins. She was married to the late Ira William Baker.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Lee Baker of Front Royal, Ira Shelton Baker of Marshall and Charles Lewis Baker of Sperryville; three daughters, Mildred Partlow, Shirley Carter and Ruth Legg, all of Front Royal; 27 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Lynnberg Atkins of Fredericksburg, Virgil Atkins of Woodville and Wilson Atkins of Culpeper; two sisters, Pauline Alther and Virgie Atkins, both of Front Royal and four half-brothers, Ralph Atkins of Culpeper, Frank Atkins and Bert Atkins, both of Sperryville and Clyde Atkins of Luray.
