Nevili elected

H.T.A. Nevili has been re-elected chairman of the Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Also re-elected were secretary Mrs. Stephen Bathon, treasurer Michael Ball, vice chairman Mrs. Norman Gittleson, honorary vice chairman M.J. O’Connell.

New directors for three-year terms are George Borjes, Greg Harris, Mrs. David Lyne, Robert Mahlbacher, John Vovakes and Mrs. Rhonda Ritchie.

Elected to second three-year terms were Allen H. Olson and Mrs. Jesse Surles.

Mrs. Sarah Hodgkin was honored for 30 years’ of service as a volunteer. Mrs. William Rand and James Hibbard were awarded pins marking 25 years of volunteer service.

BZA interviews

Rappahannock Circuit Court Judge William Shore Robertson News will accept public input and interview candidates who are interested in being appointed to the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals.

Judge Robertson will interview candidates at the courthouse Friday at 3 p.m.

Two seats on the board are being vacated by Lee Bird and Jimmy Swindler, whose terms expire.

Appointments to the BZA are made by the circuit court judge.

The county board of supervisors was also informed of the sessions in order to offer nominations.
