Oatlands
Oatlands Plantation, the National Trust property located near Leesburg in Virginia, will again present “Christmas At Oatlands” from November 9 through December 15. This re-creation of a country family’s Victorian Christmas celebration features Saturday night candlelight tours of the gaily decorated mansion and an Arts and Crafts Show in the carriage house.
Oatlands Plantation, a Greek Revival mansion built by George Carter around 1800 and now a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is located on Route 15 in the Hunt County six miles south of Leesburg (Rt. 7) and six miles north of Gilberts Comer (Rt. 50).
