Heavy rains which soaked Rappahannock County last week are being blamed in the destruction of more than $162,000 of the county’s roads and personal property.
A team from the Federal Emergency Management Agency inspected Rappahannock County last week to survey road and private property damage after the flooding brought about by six days of heavy rain.
Col. Dieter Knuepfer, of the Rappahannock Emergency Services, reported that flooding caused an estimated $155,000 worth of damage to Rappahannock roads. An additional $7,700 worth of private property
