Keesey said he discussed an $8.2 1/10 million need for senior services in the state. “The money would be used principally to support in-home services like respite care and community services like meals and transportation,” Keesey said. “We’re trying to get across the importance of caring for the elderly at home rather than waiting until a nursing home is the only alternative.”
